A really good productivity tool
I've tried many similar apps, like FolderPeek, and none of them felt great to use. I didn't hesitate to pay for this one. Could the window transition animation be improved? After the panel appears, it goes from a blank board to showing files, and that blank state looks a bit uncomfortable. Is it caused by slow file loading? Could the file-loading logic be moved earlier so the app looks more efficient visually? (I don't know the actual implementation, so I may be wrong.)

The developer has great ideas. There are plenty of file-shelf apps, but a carry-around folder tool like this is rare. Feature-wise the current version is already very good, and talking with the developer has been a real pleasure. I bought in right away at the early-bird price.

For work I constantly switch between Finder and the browser. I used to keep a folder in the Dock, but having to bring up the Dock every time is a hassle, and it's limited in features. You can open it right from the top menu bar. Born from Finder, yet better than Finder. Very good, though a few UI details still need polish. It would be best to offer mode options, such as a compact mode and a full mode, since most of the time the full feature set isn’t needed. A compact mode could handle most scenarios while saving system resources.
